CILWA turns beechwood into high-performance textile fibers – without toxic solvents, without wasting water, without compromise.
The future of materials grows in the forest.
A New Kind of Value Chain
CILWA is driving the industrial scale-up of breakthrough technology from the Technikum Laubholz (TLH), turning regional beechwood into performance fibers at industrial scale. Clean, regional, built for a circular economy – from day one.
Regional Beechwood
Sustainably sourced hardwood from local forestry. A renewable raw material that grows back, sequesters carbon, and doesn't travel the world before it becomes a fiber.

Fiber Production
Using the WDBSD TX® process, we convert beechwood pulp into high-performance fibers. Nontoxic solvents. Minimal energy. Closed-loop water system.
Market-Ready Materials
From sportswear to automotive composites to hygiene products – CILWA fibers perform wherever lightweight, sustainable, high-performance materials are in demand.

Our production process sets a new benchmark for what responsible fiber manufacturing looks like at industrial scale.
Zero Toxic Solvents
Conventional viscose production relies on carbon disulfide – a substance classified as hazardous. Our process was designed from the outset to work entirely without it. A clean process from day one.
Closed-Loop Water System
All process water is fully recirculated within the system, resulting in significantly lower net water consumption compared to cotton or conventional cellulosic fiber production.
One Fiber. Multiple Industries
The same production platform yields fibers for soft textile applications and high-performance carbon fiber precursors. Versatility is what makes the business model work across three distinct markets.
Grounded in Research
Built on DITF patents acquired by Technikum Laubholz, and already validated at pilot scale. The path from lab to industry has been walked.
Engineered for Scale
The process has been validated at pilot plant level. Scaling to industrial tonnage is the next step. Phase 1 targets four-digit annual tonnage per production line, with Phase 2 moving into five-digit range.
CILWA targets sectors where demand for sustainable, high-performance alternatives to fossil-based materials is inevitable.

Fashion & Technical Textiles
Global fiber production reached 132 million tonnes in 2024. The biggest increase in global fiber production was in fossil fuel-based synthetics, with polyester continuing to be the most widely produced fiber. The gap for credible bio-based alternatives is structural, not cyclical. Source

Lightweighting & Composites
The global carbon fiber market was valued at ~USD 8.8 billion in 2024 and is projected to nearly triple by 2034, driven by EV lightweighting and emission regulations. Today, almost all precursor fiber is PAN-based. CILWA addresses this gap directly. Source

Hygiene & Personal Care
The global nonwoven fabrics market stood at ~USD 58 billion in 2024. Bio-based nonwovens (a fast-growing segment within it) are projected to expand at 17% CAGR through 2030, driven by regulatory pressure and consumer demand for plastic-free alternatives. Our wood-based fiber technology is designed to integrate seamlessly into existing production systems while reducing environmental impact. Source

We didn't invent trees. We just figured out how to let them replace oil. Join us in building the material world the next generation deserves!
We are raising capital to bring proven technology to industrial scale. The window to lead this market is open now, and we're looking for partners who see what we see: a massive market transition waiting to happen.
SCALE PHASE 1
Four-Digit Tonnage per Line
First industrial production line.
Market entry, anchor customer contracts, proof of commercial scale at volume.
TECHNOLOGY BASE
Proven & Patent-Protected
Our process, fully patented and validated at pilot scale, delivers a verifiable first-mover advantage rather than just a forecast.
SCALE PHASE 2
Five-Digit Tonnage per Line
Full industrial roll-out. Multiple production lines. Global supply agreements. Category leadership secured.
INVESTOR MODEL
Institutional & Private
Both institutional capital and private investors are welcome. We're building an ownership model that lets a broad base of believers participate in what we're creating together.
Whether you are an investor, a potential customer, an industry partner, or simply curious, we'd love to hear from you.
The future of fiber starts with a conversation!
